Abstract

This article aims to present the development, status, crucial issues and debates about the international body of knowledge of the social movement approaches from past to present which study about the “interactions between state, movements and counter movements.” I will begin with the literature reviews of the both of the founders and contemporary scholars. Then I will end this article with the presentation of my interesting case study about this topic which is under the current social and political context of Thailand for showing that the cause, significance and contributions of that case study will bring the expansion to the boundary of Thai political science study and fill the gap of Thai political science study.
