Politics and International Relations in Islam: Study its Concepts in Quran
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research article aimed to study the concept of politics and international relations in the Holy Quran, and to classify the verses which are related to politics and international relations through the concepts of politics and international relations in the Holy Quran. This research used a qualitative method, relying on the analysis of documents, both primary and secondary data, and an in-depth interview. The study revealed that there were only main concepts of politics and international relations in the verses of the Holy Quran. Those verses were classified into categories such as sovereignty, consultation, rights and freedom, justice and equality, unity in diversity, Ummah as one nation, leadership, and war and peace. Although politics and international relations are not directly stated in the Holy Quran, concepts that appeared there could be implemented in practicality.
