1. The editorial team is responsible for ensuring the highest academic standards in the publishing process of the JSSNU. In addition, the editor is accountable for correcting and clarifying errors that may occur in the publishing process.
  2. The editorial team justly performs it duties without discrimination on gender, race, religion, or political beliefs.
  3. The editorial team set guidelines of duties for both authors and article evaluators.
  4. The editorial team choose to publish articles based on their academic quality and suitability for the JSSNU, with no interference from any other parties.
  5. The editorial team clearly describe the publishing process on the journal's website.
  6. The editorial team manages all incoming manuscripts in a fair, unbiased, and timely manner. All manuscripts are treated confidentially and passed to third parties for the sole purpose of evaluation, as per the publishing process.
  7. The editorial team establishes a data protection system that ensures the reviewer's information is protected.
  8. The JSSNU editorial team maintain discretion throughout the publishing process and their decisions shall be considered as final.
  9. The editorial team has a process to ensure all new and existing editorial team members understand and have access to the relevant work processes, guidelines and policies. This should include the timely communication of any new processes, policies and/or guidelines that may be updated from time to time.
  10. The editorial team has a system in place for managing conflicts of interest between an editor, an editorial team, authors, article reviewers, and any other relevant parties.
