สื่อสังคมออนไลน์กับการประท้วง: กรณีศึกษาแฟลชม็อบนักเรียน นักศึกษาไทย ในช่วงเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2563

บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้มุ่งทำการศึกษาแฟลชม็อบของนักเรียนนักศึกษาไทย ที่เกิดขึ้นในมหาวิทยาลัยต่าง ๆ ระหว่างวันที่ 22-27 กุมภาพันธ์ 2563 โดยเน้นวิเคราะห์บทบาทของสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ในการขับเคลื่อนการประท้วง โดยพิจารณาสื่อออนไลน์ในฐานะตัวแปรที่ส่งผลสำคัญต่อการระดม ผู้วิจัยใช้ข้อมูลจากโพสต์ในช่วงเวลาที่ศึกษาของสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ Facebook และ Twitter อย่างน้อย 19 บัญชีผู้ใช้งาน จาก 19 มหาวิทยาลัย และนำมาวิเคราะห์โดยใช้การเทียบเคียงรูปแบบอย่างยืดหยุ่น (Flexible pattern matching) ผ่านแนวคิดขบวนการเคลื่อนไหวทางสังคม งานวิจัยพบว่า แฟลชม็อบนักศึกษามีรูปแบบการใช้สื่อสังคมออนไลน์ที่สำคัญ 3 ประการ ได้แก่ 1. การขับเคลื่อนแฟลชม็อบเป็นผลจากการเกิดกรอบการกระทำส่วนบุคคลผ่านสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ 2. การขับเคลื่อนแฟลชม็อบมีลักษณะบางประการที่สอดคล้องกับรูปแบบการจัดการตนเองของเครือข่ายการประท้วงผ่านสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ 3. สื่อสังคมออนไลน์ไม่สามารถใช้เป็นเครื่องมือในการสร้างกรอบการกระทำรวมหมู่ที่มีประสิทธิภาพ ข้อค้นพบจากกรณีศึกษายังแสดงให้เห็นว่าสื่อสังคมออนไลน์เป็นเพียงกลไกในการช่วยลดต้นทุนของการระดมแต่ไม่ได้เปลี่ยนพลวัตหลักของการเคลื่อนไหวทางสังคม
