บทคัดย่อ
ตั้งแต่ทศวรรษที่ 2010 เป็นต้นมา แนวทางวิพากษ์ระบบทุนนิยมของฝ่ายซ้ายได้รับการรื้อฟื้น ทบทวน และตีความใหม่ นักเขียนนักคิดฝ่ายซ้ายจำนวนมากได้ผลิตงานทรงคุณค่าในการวิเคราะห์ทำความเข้าใจสภาวะทุนนิยมยุคปลาย ข้อค้นพบของนักทฤษฎีร่วมสมัยเหล่านี้ล้วนแล้วแต่สะท้อนลักษณะที่โดดเด่นและแปลกใหม่เกี่ยวกับระบบทุนนิยมในศตวรรษที่ 21 ในด้านหนึ่ง ปฏิเสธไม่ได้ว่า ทุนนิยมยังคงไว้ซึ่งลักษณะพื้นฐานของมัน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นกระบวนการไหลเวียนสะสมทุนที่ขึ้นมามีอิทธิพลเหนือชีวิตในทุกมิติ จนก่อให้เกิดความสัมพันธ์ที่ไม่เท่าเทียมกันและปะทุเป็นวิกฤตระลอกแล้วระลอกเล่า แต่อีกด้านหนึ่ง ทุนนิยมก็ได้แปรสภาพตัวเอง รุกคืบปริมณฑลใหม่ ๆ และขับเน้นการขูดรีดให้เข้มข้นมากขึ้น บทความนี้มุ่งศึกษาข้อถกเถียงของฝ่ายซ้ายเกี่ยวกับระบบทุนนิยมยุคปลาย ทุนนิยมได้ถูกนำไปเชื่อมโยงกับคำคุณศัพท์หลากหลายคำเพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับบริบทการเมืองโลกในปัจจุบัน เช่น แนวคิดเรื่องทุนนิยมเชิงการติดต่อสื่อสาร ทุนนิยมสูบเลือดกินเนื้อ หรือทุนนิยมเชื้อเพลิงฟอสซิล ข้อค้นพบสำคัญที่นำเสนอก็คือ ทุนนิยมที่พ่วงคำคุณศัพท์ใหม่ ๆ นี้ได้ช่วยสร้างโอกาสแก่ชนชั้นนายทุน บรรษัทข้ามชาติ และชนชั้นนำทางการเมืองในการเข้าไป “ตีกิน” และ “ปล้นชิงไปดื้อ ๆ ” ชีวิตทางสังคมของพวกเรา การดูแล และแหล่งทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ แม้ลักษณะดังกล่าวจะเป็นไปเพื่อสะสมทุนและสืบสานอำนาจ แต่สุดท้าย ในอนาคตอันใกล้ ทุนนิยมยุคปลายนี้กำลังกลืนกินเงื่อนไขที่สำคัญต่อการดำรงอยู่ของมันเอง
