อารมณ์ทางการเมืองในสาขาวิชารัฐศาสตร์และการเมืองไทย

บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาเรื่องอารมณ์ทางการเมืองคือการศึกษาที่มุ่งไปยังโลกภายในของปรากฏการณ์ทางการเมือง ทั้งในระดับมหภาคที่ว่าด้วยเรื่องรัฐและในระดับจุลภาคที่ว่าด้วยเรื่องปัจเจก บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่ออภิปรายพัฒนาการของการศึกษาเรื่องอารมณ์ทางการเมืองที่ผ่านช่วงเวลาแห่งการได้รับการยอมรับในยุคคลาสสิก ถูกละเลยในยุคสมัยใหม่ จนกระทั่งถูกนำกลับเข้ามาศึกษาในสาขาสังคมศาสตร์และรัฐศาสตร์ตั้งแต่กลางทศวรรษที่ 1990 สะท้อนให้เห็นการเปลี่ยนผ่านของแนวทางการศึกษาอารมณ์ทางการเมืองแบบดั้งเดิมภายใต้ข้อจำกัดของกระบวนทัศน์ปฏิฐานนิยมสู่แบบใหม่ที่เปิดกว้าง บูรณาการ และมองว่าอารมณ์กับการเมืองเป็นเรื่องที่สัมพันธ์กัน เพราะการศึกษาอารมณ์คือการหยั่งลึกไปที่พื้นฐานของความเป็นมนุษย์และสิ่งที่มนุษย์ให้คุณค่า อันจะนำมาซึ่งความเข้าใจในภาพรวมของการกระทำทางการเมืองของปัจเจกและกลุ่มที่ล้วนแล้วแต่มีอารมณ์แฝงอยู่ภายใน อีกทั้งยังเชื่อมโยงและปฏิสัมพันธ์กับปัจจัยภายนอกอย่างมีพลวัต ในประเทศไทย มีงานวิชาการจำนวนหนึ่งที่สนใจในมิติดังกล่าว หากทว่าก็ยังคงมีจำนวนจำกัด ซึ่งสวนทางกับการแสดงออกซึ่งอารมณ์ในสถานการณ์ความขัดแย้งทางการเมืองที่ทวีความรุนแรงมากขึ้น การทำความเข้าใจและเพิ่มความตระหนักรู้เรื่องอารมณ์ทางการเมืองอาจเป็นแรงกระเพื่อมหนึ่งที่จะนำสู่ทางออกของปัญหาทางการเมืองไทยได้ในอนาคต
