บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้มุ่งศึกษาวารสาร “ตะวันแดง” สิ่งพิมพ์ส่งเสริมบทบาทของผู้หญิงผ่านการเชื่อมโยงงานปฏิวัติกับความเป็นท้องถิ่นใต้ของขบวนการพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์แห่งประเทศไทย (พคท.) เขตจังหวัดพัทลุง ตรัง และสตูล ระหว่าง พ.ศ.2520-2525 โดยใช้แนวศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์ว่าด้วยเพศสภาพ (gender study) ทฤษฎีปิตาธิปไตย (patriarchy) และทฤษฎีสตรีนิยมของหญิงผิวดำ (black feminist) จากการศึกษาพบว่า ตะวันแดงมีคอลัมน์ชื่อ “คุยกับพิมพยอม” และคอลัมน์ “ศิลปวัฒนธรรม” ที่ว่าด้วยการส่งเสริมบทบาทของผู้หญิงซึ่งส่งผลต่อความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสหายหญิงนักศึกษาปัญญาชนและสหายหญิงท้องถิ่นใต้ และเนื่องจากเนื้อหาของทั้งสองคอลัมน์มีความเชื่อมโยงกับงานเขียนของกลุ่มนักศึกษาปัญญาชนหญิงที่เคยทำกิจกรรมเรียกร้องสิทธิสตรีในเมืองผ่านการผลิตงานเขียนที่ได้รับอิทธิพลมาจากปัญญาชนฝ่ายซ้ายทศวรรษ 2490 มากกว่าเนื้อหาสิ่งพิมพ์ที่ พคท. ใช้ให้การศึกษาภายในพรรค ผู้วิจัยจึงสรุปว่าการส่งเสริมบทบาทของผู้หญิงผ่านวารสาร “ตะวันแดง” ถูกเขียนโดยสหายหญิงนักศึกษาปัญญาชนที่เข้าร่วมการปฏิวัติหลังเหตุการณ์ 6 ตุลา 2519 เพื่อให้ความรู้แก่มวลชนผู้หญิงและสหายหญิงท้องถิ่น อันแสดงให้เห็นถึงปฏิสัมพันธ์ทางชนชั้นระหว่างสหายหญิงใน พคท.
