Women’s Role Performances of Koom Committee in Amphoe Muang Suphan Buri, Changwat Suphan Buri.

The objectives of this research were : 1) to study role performance of Koom Committee, and 2) to compare role performance by Koom Committee with regards to age, income, acquisition of Koom in formation, role understanding, and problems in role performance. The samples were selected through the multi-stage sampling technique. Data, from 138 samples were collected by using a structures interview method, and were analysed means of percentage, standard deviation and t-test at 0.05 level of statistical significance. The findings were that 1) On the average, the woman Koom committee members performed their role at a high level, 2) The committee members with high income, much acquisition of the Koom information and high expectation of benefits from being a committee member performed their role at a higher degree than those with low income, less acquistition of the Koom information and low expectation of benefit form being a committee member. Those with different age and level of role understanding performed their role at an non-different degree, and 3) The problem found were that some did not understand the system of Koom did not perceive any benefit from Koo, did not provide financial supports and did not attend the meeting. Moreover, some government officials responsible for Koom system did try their best to follow up the role performance of Koom Committee.Downloads
