Abstract

Political interactions in rural communities are not always simple but plenty with conflicts and negotiations under complicated power system. Therefore, no one can dominate local Thai people’s decision within this patronage system framework and vote buying. On the contrary, the villagers can connect themselves with nominated politicians and enter to a value system in local electoral culture (Local Norms) which is a framework for decision making and properly brings them to meet their expectations and social recognition. It also has the duty to control and legitimize the political power of local politicians.
