The purpose of this study were to 1) study democratic political culture of university students in Bangkok Metropolitan and its vicinities 2) to study the causal relationship between political socialization and knowledge about Thai politics with Democratic political culture of university students in Bangkok Metropolitan and its vicinities 3) To develop a causal relationship between political socialization and knowledge about Thai politics with Democratic political culture of university students in Bangkok Metropolitan and its vicinities.
This survey research using sample of 399 university students in Bangkok metropolitan and its vicinities. The statistics used in this research are descriptive statistics, frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Statistics used in hypothesis testing include path analysis, structural analysis, and structural equation modeling (SEM).
Result of the research found that Model of structural relationships between political socialization and knowledge about Thai politics with the political culture of university students in Bangkok Metropolitan and its vicinities is consistent with empirical data. This is based on the assumptions set. And the political socialization have the greatest influence on the democratic political culture of university students in Bangkok Metropolitan and its vicinities.
