The purposes of this study were to 1 ) examine different
demographic factors of Srilacharaphiphat school’s students affecting
different compliance behavior of Eight Basic Virtues 2 ) study
environmental factors affecting Eight Basic Virtues compliance behavior
of Srilacharaphiphat school’s students 3) investigate levels of Eight
Basic Virtues compliance behavior of Srilacharaphiphat school’s
students. The sample size determination of this study was based on
the Krejcie and Morgan's sample size ( Krejcie and Morgan, 1970) and
237 students were determined as the sample size of this study.
Questionnaire was used as a collecting data tool and data was
analyzed by utilizing frequency, percentage, arithmetic means and
standard deviation and hypothesis testing with independent sample t –
test , One-way ANOVA, one sample t -test, F-test (ANOVA) as well as
multiple regression analysis. The statistical significance level was
determined as significance level of 0 . 0 5 for finding out influences
between independent variables and dependent variables as well as
Least Significant Difference ( LSD) was employed for pairwise
comparison technique. The results of this study were as follows:
1 . The results of first hypothesis testing, i.e., comparison of
Eight Virtues compliance behavior classified by demographic factors of
Srilacharaphiphat school’s students indicated that students with
different sex, age, family status and occupation of guardian affected
compliance behavior towards Eight Virtues not differently (it was not in
accordance with hypothesis).
On the other hand, students who had different level of study
class differently affected Eight Virtues compliance behavior at statistical
significance level of 0.05. (it was in accordance with hypothesis)
2. Results of second hypothesis, were found that the overview
of relating environmental factors that would affect compliance
behavior towards Eight Virtues of Srilacharaphiphat school’s students
had rather high level of relationship. In addition, when taking into
account of each factor, it was revealed that environmental factor of
family, environmental factor of educational institute and
environmental factor of society and community affected compliance
behavior towards Eight Virtues of Srilacharaphiphat school’s students at
statistical significance and at the moderate level of relationship (it was
in accordance with hypothesis).
3. Results of third hypothesis, i.e., levels of Eight Basic Virtues
compliance behavior of Srilacharaphiphat school’s students in overall
were at most levels. The aspect with the average total score at the
“most level” was the aspect of generosity, followed by the aspect of
cleanness, harmony, gentleness, orderliness, honesty and thriftiness,
whereas the aspect of diligence had the lowest average (it was in
accordance with hypothesis).
