Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the level of the quality of work life of personnel attached to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, and 2) to study the relationship of factors affecting of the quality of work life of personnel attached to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand. The research samples were 375 employees of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand. The questionnaires consisted of the study of independent variables of personnel socioeconomic characteristics, opinions toward factors affecting the quality of work life of personnel and the quality of work life of personnel attached to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand. The analysis of data was carried out by percentage, mean, standard deviation and multiple regressions.
It was found from the study that :
1. Most of the informants were 26-35 years of age, holding a Bachelor’s degree, serving in staff positions, having work experience of 16 years and with a monthly salary of 30,001-50,000 baht.
2. The overall quality of work life of the personnel was at a high level. Individually, organization competency ranked the highest, followed by organization policy.
3. Overall quality of work life of the personnel was at the highest level. Individually, intensive income ranked the highest followed the psychology and fringe benefits and job characteristics, respectively.

4. Analysis of the relation between variables, revealed that organization competency and the organization policy affected the quality of work life, with a statistical significance of 0.05 and the 6 factors could predict the variation of quality of work life of personnel attached to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand of about 79.50 percent.
