Thai Home-Stay Business Policy Formulation

Abstract

This research aimed to study the problem of home-stay and to formulate Thai home-stay policy. It was a mixed methods research. The samples were people, tourists and entrepreneurs in Chiangmai, Prajuabkirikhun, and Krabi. It was analyzed by logical reasoning method to get generalization. The research result found that 1) home-stay business should be support income of entrepreneurs and the government should have the policy to support the budget strategy, safety strategy and support the community identities. 2) the government was the important organization to integrate the clearly policy that protect the capitalists who wanted to get benefit from home-stay business, so it should have more participation by people and local government to initiate the local standard of home-stay, and also gave more information about home-stay and including capital support for each local home-stay.
