Research on The Use of Dictionaries by International Students In China Based on The User Perspective ------Take Some Universities in GuangDong, GuangXi and YunNan Provinces as Examples

Abstract

   This paper studies Chinese overseas students, and examines the attitudes of 358 international students in regarding the user experience of Chinese learning dictionaries by distributing questionnaires, including the number of dictionaries used, commonly used dictionary categories, dictionary use purpose, dictionary use skills, interpretation requirements and so on. By analyzing the current problems of dictionary use in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, such as students' lack of involvement in Chinese dictionaries in learning, less involvement in dictionary categories, single purpose of use, and weak dictionary use skills, it is suggested that the compilation of Chinese dictionaries for foreigners should consider research on users from the demand perspective, acceptance perspective, and communicative perspective, in order to better adapt to users' needs.
