Abstract

This research aimed to study 1) level of competency development of practical work of military officers under the infantry school, infantry center 2) factors influenced competency development of practical work of military officers under the infantry school, infantry center 3) factors for development of competency in relation to the performance of practical work of military officers under the infantry school, infantry center. The population were 150 military officers under the infantry school, infantry center. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, percentage, means, standard deviation and inferential statistics using chi-square statistics, and multiple regression analysis. Research found that; 1. The competency development of military officers under the infantry school, infantry center is in a high level. 2. Factors influenced competency development showed relation with the competency development of military officers under the infantry school, infantry center. When considering each side of factors, the result revealed that factors influenced competency, lecturers and information technologies were related to competency development, statistically significant at 0.01 3. Personal characteristics, education background, showed logical relation with competency development of military officers under the infantry school, infantry center, statistically significant at 0.01When considering each side found that genders and monthly incomes also correlated to performance development of military officers, statistically significant at 0.05
