Abstract

This research aims tostudy 1) Level of people’s participation in solid waste management at Hinlekfaisub-district administrative organization,Hua-Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province 2) Solid waste management factors of people at Hinlexfai Sub-District Administrative Organization, Hua-Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province 3) Causal relationships between solid waste management factors and participation in solid waste management at Hinlekfaisub-district administrative organization,Hua-Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The samples were 150 households at Hinlekfai Sub-District. Descriptive statistics, percentage, mean, standard deviation were used for data analysis. Inferential statistics were chi-square and multiple regression analysis. The research found that: 1) People’s Participation in Solid Waste Management at Hinlekfai Sub-District Administrative Organization,Hua-Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province for  overall was at  high level. Participation at the highest level was participation in empowerment and role. Whereas Participation at the high level was participation in cooperative level; participation in feedback level and participation at the information level.2)Solid waste management factors of people at Hinlekfai Sub-District Administrative Organization, Hua-Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province for overall was at high level. Expectation was at highest level. Attitude and transparency were at high level, whereas community leaders and network were at medium level.3) Solid waste management factors in terms of transparency and attitude were in causal relationships with people’s participation in solid waste management at .001 level of significant.
