Access to the Rights of Disabled Persons under the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Act, B.E.2550 in Mueang Phetchaburi District, Phetchaburi

Abstract

This research aimed to study: (1) level of access to the rights of disabled persons under the empowerment of persons with disabilities act, B.E.2550 in Mueang Phetchaburi District, Phetchaburi, 2) factors involving in access to the rights of disabled persons under the empowerment of persons with disabilities act, B.E.2550 in in Mueang Phetchaburi District, Phetchaburi, and 3) factors involving in the access to the rights of disabled persons that had a causal relationship to access to the rights of disabled persons under the empowerment of persons with disabilities act, B.E.2550 in in Mueang Phetchaburi District, Phetchaburi. Samples used in this study were 130 disabled persons caretaker or disabled persons under Mueang Phetchaburi District, Phetchaburi. Data were treated and analyzed by using descriptive and Inferential Statistics methods, which were percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi-square test and multiple regression analysis. Findings were as follows: 1) Access to the rights of people with disabilities overall, access to rights is at a moderate level.  2)           Factors for accessing the rights of people with disabilities in overall, there is a high level of practice.  3) Factors for accessing rights of people with disabilities in the process / process of access to rights and equipment or auxiliary equipment for people with disabilities have a causal relationship with access to the rights of people with disabilities with statistical significance at .001.  4) Personal characteristics Most of them are male, aged 61 years and over. Not a career with monthly income 3,001 - 8,000 baht with income from family members.  5) Personal characteristics education level has a relationship with access to the rights of people with disabilities with statistical significance at .01 level.
