Development of pictures reading activities package on Kindergarten students’ cognitive development skills

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to : 1) develop pictures reading activities package for Kindergarten students, the efficiency criterion of 80/80; 2) compare Kindergarten students’ cognitive abilities before and after using the pictures reading activities package ; and 3) study satisfaction to the pictures reading activities package. The participants of the study were selected by Cluster random sampling, consisted of 26 Kindergarten II students from Namphu School, Suphanburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 during the first semester of the academic year 2017. The research instruments included: 1) The pictures reading activities package, 2) Evaluation of cognitive development, and 3) Satisfaction questionnaire about the activities package with a reliability of 0.830. Data were analyzed in terms of mean, standard deviation, and t - test.
The findings in this study revealed the followings: 1. The efficiency level of the pictures reading activities package for Kindergarten students was 91.13/91.35. 2. The students’ abilities in cognitive development skills after using the pictures reading activities package were higher than before at the .05 level of significance. 3. The satisfactions on the pictures reading activities package for Kindergarten students were in hight level.
