Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) study the roles of school administrators to promote teachers’ practice of professional ethics in schools by the opinions of the school administrators and the teachers under theLopburi Primary Educational Service Area Office; and 2) compare roles of school administrators to promote teachers’ practice of professional ethics in schools by the opinions of the school administrators and the teachers under theLopburi Primary Educational Service Area Office classified by gender, work position, educational level, age, working experiences and school size. Drawn by stratified random sampling, the sample group includes 352 administrators and teachers from the schools under theLopburi Primary Educational Service Area Office during the academic year of 2017. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability level of 0.922. The data were analyzed by using percentage mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Fisher’s L.S.D. method. The findings indicated that: 1) The roles of school administrators to promote teachers’ practice of professional ethics in schools by the opinions of the school administrators and the teachers under theLopburi Primary Educational Service Area Office in overall and every aspect were rated at a high level ranking from : 1) ethics to the profession, 2) ethics to the co-workers, 3) ethics to self, 4) ethics to the clientsand 5) ethics to the society. 2) The results of the comparison of the roles of school administrators to promote teachers’ practice of professional ethics in schools by the opinions of the school administrators and the teachers under theLopburi Primary Educational Service Area Office when classified by gender and school size was statistically significantly different at the .05 level. However, when classified by work position, educational level, age, working and experiences there were not different.
