The Role of School Administrators in Promoting the 12 Core Values in the School According to the Opinions of Administrators and Teachers Under The Office of Prachuap Khiri Khan Primary Educational Service Area 1

Abstract

The research aimed to 1) study the roles of school administrators in promoting the 12 core values in schools as perceived by administrators and teachers under the Office of Prachuap Khiri Khan Primary Educational Service Area 1; and 2) compare the roles of the school administrators in promoting the 12 core values in the schools as perceived by the respondents when classified by gender, work position, educational level, work experience, academic standing and school size. Drawn by stratified random sampling, the sample included 312 school administrators and teachers under the Office of Prachuap Khiri Khan Primary Educational Service Area 1 during the academic year 2019. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability value of 0.983. Data were analyzed in terms of mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way ANOVA.  Findings indicated that: 1) The roles of school administrators in promoting the 12 core values in the schools were at the highest level.  2) Overall, the roles of school administrators in promoting the 12 core values in the schools when classified by school size were significantly different (p<.05); however, when classified by gender, educational level, work position, academic standing, and work experience, they were not different.
