Considerations of Authorities’ Power to Inspect the Factories under the Law on the Enhancement and Cons

Abstract

Due to the economic development and the technological advancement, the number of factories has been significantly growing and; as a result, industrial pollution has increased simultaneously. Therefore the factories are significant polluters causing adverse effects on our environment. By virtue of the Enhancement and Conservation of the National Environmental Quality Act B.E.2535, there is a mechanism coping with such industrial pollution by authorizing competent officials to investigate the factories in question. However, it has been found that investigations have yet to be effective.
