Motivation in Studying at Provincial Police Training Center, Region 8

This research article aims to study the motivation in studying at the Provincial Police Training Center, Region 8 and compare the personal qualities regarding their motivation encouraging studying at Provincial Police Training Center, Region 8 due to clearly decreased number of applicants in each year.
The study found that the opinion level of police sergeant students concerning motivation encouraging studying at the Provincial Police Training Center, Region 8 was at the high level. The quality of work was at the highest level, followed by economic aspect and personal reasons at the high level, respectively. According to the comparing motivation in studying at the Provincial Police Training Center, Region 8, it was found that different aspects including age, hometown, religion, qualification, educational background, tuition/expense sponsor did not affect the motivation in studying at the Provincial Police Training Center, Region 8.
The author suggests that the training center should produce a proactive public relation to ensure people recognize that police is a reliable career as a guardian of peace who secures social fairness, enjoys honors and has to be dedicated as well as reducing expenses funded by their parents while studying. Upon graduation, a graduate will be employed directly and accesses to welfare and pension after retirement as well as having a chance to further study for career advancement. Commanders and related parties of Provincial Police Training Center, Region 8 should plan the public relations and guidance schemes and invite potential students and general people to familiarize the Provincial Police Training Center, Region 8 more so that they decide to study at the Provincial Police Training Center, Region more.
