Graduate Guitar Recital by Panitan Punpuang

Abstract

  The objectives of this guitar recital were to develop guitar skills and to prepare the performance. This thesis consisted of three procedures: 1) thorough analysis of the melodic structures and the main features of the pieces; 2) interpretation and practice of the pieces to resolve the problems during the rehearsal; and 3) performance of the pieces in public. The results from the Juries were all in high standard. These indicated that the guitar recital was performed well because of consistent practice, the use of proper technique, the presentation of the main ideas of the pieces accurately, and the correct expression of the composers’ styles.
