Abstract

This research is qualitative research. The objectives of the research are 1) analyze the lifestyle behavior of students, and 2) study the changes in lifestyle behaviors of pre-engineering students in university dormitories. The population used in this research were 14 pre-engineering students. Data collection in this research were personal data survey, in-depth interview, activity participation behavior observation form, and behavioral observation form for learning and life skills development. The data was analyzed descriptively using analytical description. The results of the study found that: Analyze the lifestyle behavior of students: In summary, the analysis highlights areas for improvement in terms of responsibility, discipline, financial management, and safety awareness. However, it also identifies positive attributes such as openness to new experiences, kindness towards others, and a sense of attachment to friends and family. These insights can serve as a foundation for targeted interventions to support students' personal and academic development. Overall, it appears that the pre-engineering program and dormitory environment have successfully instilled a sense of dedication, discipline, and community among the students. This bodes well for their future academic and personal endeavors. For  analysis of changes in lifestyle behavior and life skills development: overall, the Reflect-Connect-Apply framework highlights a well-rounded approach to education that goes beyond traditional classroom learning. It emphasizes the importance of self-reflection, hands-on experiences, and the practical application of knowledge and skills. This approach not only enhances academic performance but also cultivates essential life skills that will serve the students well in their future endeavors.
