Cost Effectiveness of Information Resources Study in Creativity and Learning Room of the College of Art, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University

Abstract

. The purpose of this research for 1) to Analyze the budget used to purchase the resources compared with the usage rate, 2) to Analyze the Cost-Effectiveness of the resources invested focused on the books from an automated database system (Excludes reference books and Fiction) and the board games purchase by Creativity and Learning Room from 2019 to 2023. The research instrument was a frequency record by Microsoft excel program. The research data were analyzed with the cost-effectiveness formulae and the frequency and percentage. The research found that The quality analysis of information resources according to the quality assurance criteria for the modernization of purchasing information resources in the fiscal year 2019 was at level 4, which is higher than the standard. The budget used to purchase information resources was found from the fiscal year 2019 to 2023, and the budget allocated for books was 800,149.69 baht. It was used to purchase 562 books, and the average cost per book was 1,423.75 baht. The total usage was 1,359 times, and the usage rate was 2.42 times per book. The cost per time was 588.78 baht. The budget for the board game was 79,431.06 baht. Which was used to purchase 66 titles, and the average cost per title was 1,203.50 baht. The total was 146 times, the usage rate was 2.21 times per title, and the cost per time was 544.05 baht
