Abstract

The objectives of this study were as follows : Study the influence of individual factors self-esteem social support self-control Positive attitudes toward delinquency in predicting the likelihood of recidivism among youth in juvenile training and training centers.The sample group in this study was youth in the Children and Youth Training and Education Center. Under the Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection in the central region, there were 230 people. Data were collected by questionnaires. Statistics used in data analysis are percentage, mean, standard deviation, logistic regression analysis.


 


Personal variables identified by the study were age, marital status, and pare ts. Person who presently resides with Economic situation of youth and the number of offenders. There was no effect on predicting recidivism among youngsters in juvenile training and centers. However, two more independent variables were discovered to influence the prediction of recidivism: self-esteem Side Virtue It has a negative influence on the chance of recidivism with statistical significance at the .05, and self-esteem Side Competence It has a negative influence on the chance of recidivism with statistical significance at the .01
