Strategies to Strengthen Collaboration of the National Land Policy Organization

Abstract

The research study aims to determine strategies for strengthening the collaboration of the national land policy organization and its mechanisms within a good government management framework. It employed qualitative research that applied participatory workshops, focus group discussions, and in-depth interviews with sample groups of people who have been allocated land for agriculture under the policies of the National Land Policy Committee and officials of related government organizations. In the target areas across four regions of Thailand, a total of 937 people. The public hearing applied to a sample group of national land policy officials and those in the target area of 209 people.

The research results determined 5 strategies: 1) Communicate awareness and a new paradigm for the value of land and soil resource management for balance and sustainability through unity. 2) Develop policies, plans, and land and resource management measures. Soil that responds to the sustainability of the ecosystem through participation. 3) Strengthen and enhance the role and public participation in accessing impartially land distribution policies for a sustainable way of life. 4) Coordinate and integrate cooperation between land and soil resources management agencies. 5) Developing personnel capacity for collaboration network development and participation. The key mechanism for transferring strategy into practice of the National Land Policy Office is the coordination and integration of the missions of various organizations in line with the strategic plan.
