FACTORS AFFECTING GOOD GOVERNANCE IMPLEMENTATION IN THE FEDERATION OF SAVINGS AND CREDIT COOPERATIVES OF THAILAND LIMITED

Abstract

The Objectives of this research were to study 1) the successful level of good governance implementation in order to manage the Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperatives of Thailand Limited 2) factors affecting the successful level of good governance implementation to manage the Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperatives of Thailand Limited and 3) guidelines for the implementation of good governance to manage the Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperatives of Thailand Limited.

This study was a cross sectional survey research. Population in this study were administrators and staffs of the Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperatives of Thailand Limited, with the total amount of 122 persons. The instrument used was a questionnaire according to related research. Data were analyzed
by using descriptive statistics i.e percentage, mean, standard deviation and stepwise multiple regression.
The results showed that 1) the successful level of good governance implementation in the Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperatives of Thailand Limited management was 78.50 percent 2) value and cultural factor, distinctly strategic factor, executive leadership factor, suitability of institutional structure factor, and staff participatory factor influenced on the achievement of good governance implementation in the management of the Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperatives of Thailand Limited which was calculated of 81.90 percent altogether. and 3) recommendations/guidelines for good governance implementation to manage the Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperatives of Thailand Limited successfully were that the following the same guidelines used by the Cooperative Promotion Department. Subcommittee for evaluation was also set up. Guidelines on good practical framework of important position, such as, committee chairman, committee and manager should be set up as well. Good governance principles CD should be disseminated for better understanding. Communication among staffs in every section for correspondence and conscious inspiration to love organization should be done.
