CSR STRATEGIC OPTIONS AND THEIR IMPLEMENTATION : A STAKEHOLDER PERSPECTIVE

This article presents the strategic choices of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The concept of CSR emerging as part of business administration along with seeking profit becomes a goal of the business. The organization must have a strategic choice to perform socially responsible activities according to the organization’s goal. There are four strategic choices for CSR strategies. Shareholder Strategy focuses on shareholder’s interests. Altruistic Strategy is acting as same as charity. Reciprocal strategy is a strategy which is balancing between give and take. Citizenship Strategy is acting as a corporate citizen. This review also gives a guideline for implementing CSR strategies according to business context and missions.
