THE COMMUNICATION MODELS FOR CREATING WOMEN PARTICIPATION TO LOCAL DEVELOPMENT IN NONG-MA-MOHNG DISTRICT, CHAI NAT PROVINCE

Abstract

The purpose of this research  was  to study communication models, to encourage local women to participate in local development activities, to gain an understanding of their participation, to compare the different levels of geography and the perception of news, to study relationship between women’s participation and local development. Information for this paper was collected through a field study using quantitative and qualitative method. 400 questionnaires were collected from local women who are over 18 years old.The results of this study identified as follows; communication models that create (encourage) local women to participate in local development activities were one way and two-way communications using formal and informal ways to deliver the message. The communication flew from top to buttom. One way communication were memo, newsletter and official newsletter. Two-way communication were on line social media through Line application, telephone and face to face discussion. The different on age, level of education, income and perception of news have an impact on local development at the 0.05 significance level. The relationship between women’s participation and local development was at the moderate level.
