การรู้เท่าทันสื่อในยุคหลังการแพร่ระบาดในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ แนวทางการประเมินในแวดวงวิชาการ

บทคัดย่อ

บทความนี้ทบทวนวรรณกรรมที่เกี่ยวกับการประสิทธิผลของ ‘การรู้เท่าทันสื่อ’ (Media Information Literacy; MIL) ที่ถูกพัฒนาเป็นเครื่องมือในการจัดการกับ ‘อินโฟเดมิค’ ในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ทั้งนี้ ‘อินโฟเดมิค’ หมายถึงสภาวะความล้นหลามของข้อมูลเท็จที่ถูกบริโภคในภูมิภาคระหว่างการแพร่ระบาดของโรคโควิด-19 นับตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม 2563 จนถึงการเข้าสู่ขั้นตอนการประกาศให้เป็นโรคประจำถิ่นในช่วงกลางปี 2565 สถาบันเอเชีย เซ็นเตอร์คาดการณ์ว่า เมื่อเทียบกับแนวทางอื่น ๆ แล้ว การรู้เท่าทันสื่อเป็นยุทธศาสตร์ที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุดในระยะยาวในการจัดการกับการแพร่ระบาดของ ‘อินโฟเดมิค’ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเมื่อนำมาใช้ร่วมกันกับการให้ข้อมูลที่ถูกต้องโดยภาครัฐ มาตรการตรวจสอบข้อเท็จจริง การลบข้อมูลเท็จโดยบริษัทเทคโนโลยีหรือโซเชียลมีเดีย และการรักษาคุณภาพของสื่อ บทความนี้จะศึกษาผลงานการศึกษาต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวกับประสิทธิภาพของ MIL เพื่อนำมากลั่นตัวแบบโมเดล รวมถึงประเมินประสิทธิภาพของ MIL โดยใช้ฐานข้อมูลสาธารณะและเฉพาะทางเพื่อค้นหาผลงานวิชาการที่เกี่ยวข้องกับ MIL
