25 YEARS OF MEDIA LITERACY IN THAILAND: REVISIT OF RESEARCH FROM 1997-2021

Abstract

The objective of this article is to revisit the knowledge derived from research on media literacy in Thailand within the 25-year period from 1997 up until 2021. Researches accounted for the largest proportion met the objective relating to media literacy of Users. The majority of them were master’s degree theses and general institution-funded research based on the classification of the publication. Survey researches accounted for the biggest amount. Questionnaire was the main research method used among the samples.


            Digital Media, Cyberbullying and Fake news were the main focus of the last 5 year in the COVID-19 context. Although last period still not lead to the newest topic and theory but The Practice of Media Literacy activities such as workshops and academic seminars could be hopeful situation.
