Contemporary entertainment media to develop global citizenship consciousness in social studies

Abstract
Many of contemporary entertainment media that are popular with youth contain content that reflects the current society and teach way of life in today's world. Instructors can select content and value in contemporary entertainment media to be used with appropriate learning management techniques to create valuable lessons that can develop a global citizenship consciousness for youth. The author has chosen to contemporary entertainment media that are popular with youth in the present era, including: Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, NOT ME, Raya and The Last Dragon, and Avengers: Endgame to be an example of lesson design to create citizenship consciousness at the community, national, regional, and global levels.
