Communication Causing Japanese Tourists to Visit Thailand After COVID-19

Abstract

This research article aimed to study media types and content issues in Thai communications after Japanese tourists decided to visit Thailand after COVID-19. It was qualitative research conducted by interviewing 10 Japanese tourists visiting Thailand. The qualifications had to be tourists who came to travel in 2022 and 2023. The research found that the media that Japanese people followed to travel in Thailand was Youtube in the form of speaking and narrating in Japanese on Youtube, and the content or issues of communication in the form of soft power, such as that Japanese tourists liked Thai food, Pad Thai, handmade products, Songkran Day, golfing, Thai massage, Thai boxing, and a simple living style. This discovery was useful for communicating with Japanese tourists about visiting Thailand more.
