An Application of Value Chain Concept, Utilization, and Difference of Selling Products between Information and Communication Technology and Social Media
Main Article Content
Abstract
The value chain concept emphasizes enhancing business processes to maximize customer satisfaction. It applies to information and communication technology (ICT) and social media for selling products and service provision, from upstream, midstream, and downstream. However, it was found that both the use of ICT and social media have many differences in selling products, including the communication characteristics, target group, and communication time. Including the utilization of selling products from the use of ICT and social media have different aspects. For example, ICT concentrates on developing e-commerce websites for efficient sales channels, whereas social media prioritizes creating fun and interesting content to make it easier and faster for customers to decide to buy products or services.
