Protection of Children’s Personal Data on Electronic Media according to Personal Data Protection Act 2019

Abstract
This study focuses on the protection of children’s personal data considering the Personal Data Protection Act 2019, regarding the consent of minors with the issue of the minor's ability to perform legal acts according to the Civil and Commercial Act. Analyzing in current digital social context which electronic media has a significant impact on children’s behavior and decision making about the personal data consent in collecting and further processing. Also, the parents’ behavior which may reveal children’s personal data themselves by sharenting with no awareness of the threat. Therefore, raising awareness of children’s personal data is important. Educating the right information is not only for the children but also for parents and teachers to achieve the maximum effectiveness in protecting children’s data.
