TYPES OF MEDIA THAT CAUSE INSURED PERSONS TO DECIDE TO USE AND RESULTS FROM USING THE E-SELF SERVICE IN CASE OF CHILDBIRTH OF THE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE SAMUT PRAKAN PROVINCE

This research aims to 1) study the types of media used by the Social Security Office in Samut Prakan Province to communicate with insured persons to decide to use e-Self Service for applying for benefits in the case of childbirth. 2) study the opinions of insured persons on using the service via the Social Security Office e-Self Service system in the case of childbirth. 3) study the problems and obstacles of insured persons on using the service via the Social Security Office e-Self Service system in the case of childbirth. This research is a qualitative research by conducting in-depth interviews with specific key informants from the staff of the Benefits Section, Samut Prakan Provincial Social Security Office, Bang Phli Branch, 8 people who are insured persons who are confident from contacting the Social Security Office via online media and studying the details of the benefits via media without asking the staff. Finally, they decide to use and accept the results of using the e-Self Service between July 4-10, 2024 at the Samut Prakan Provincial Social Security Office, Bang Phli Branch. The research results found that 1) insured persons decide to use the e-Self Service from the Social Security Office Facebook. 2) Opinions on using the service via the Social Security Office e-Self Service system in the case of childbirth are convenient, fast, save time and expenses from traveling to contact the office. Reduce the amount of documents, save paper resources, no need to photocopy or make copies. 3) Problems and obstacles to using the service through the Social Security Office e-Self Service system in the case of childbirth include: the insured person cannot log in to the system, forgets the password, forgets the phone number to reset the password, no notification for filing or following up on the process, the insured person does not know that they can file through the Social Security Office e-Self Service system in the case of childbirth, the attached documents in the system are unclear or incorrect, do not know how to do it, do not have a smartphone, do not have internet, and it is difficult for foreigners or aliens because the system is only in Thai, respectively.
