Abstract

This research aims to study the character of co-hosts in the News Talk Television Programs: “Rueng Lao Chao Ni” and “Rueng Lao Sao A-thit,” as well as to explore the role and functions of these co-hosts. For the research results, indicate that the characteristics and roles of co-hosts in news programs necessitate the ability to synchronize and adapt with the main host, exemplified by experienced figures. Co-hosts must efficiently gather news and information, genuinely comprehend the news content, and skillfully elaborate on cues from the main host. They should employ clear and accessible language, adjust their delivery to suit the news content and context. Co-hosts are expected to promptly engage in dialogue and be responsive to questions, demonstrate natural body language and utilize quick thinking to process information and formulate narratives efficiently.The delineation of co-host responsibilities underscores their function in enriching details and maintaining the coherence of news content. Furthermore, they serve a crucial role as intermediaries who connect and engage with the audience, facilitate a bridge between the news presentation and viewers.
