Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the current state, desirable state, and priority needs, and 2) study guidelines for using artificial intelligence (AI) in performing duties according to the teacher position standards of educational institutions under the Phichit Secondary Educational Service Area Office. The sample consisted of 285 school administrators and teachers, determined using the Krejcie and Morgan table and selected through proportional stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a 29-item, 5-level rating scale questionnaire with content validity ranging from 0.67 to 1.00 and a reliability of 0.86. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, the Modified Priority Needs Index (PNImodified), and content analysis. The research findings were as follows: 1) The overall need for using artificial intelligence in teachers' performance according to the teacher position standards in schools under the Phichit Secondary Educational Service Area Office was 0.031. Considering each aspect, learning management had the highest priority needs index (PNI modified = 0.036), followed by the promotion and support of learning management (0.026), while self and professional development had the lowest index (0.019). 2) The guidelines for using artificial intelligence in teachers' performance were proposed in 3 aspects: (1) Learning Management: Teachers should use technology to systematically collect and analyze classroom research data to reduce workload and enhance data reliability; (2) Promotion and Support of Learning Management: Artificial intelligence should be used to classify and track student development to design personalized learning and communicate with parents using data-driven evidence; and (3) Self and Professional Development: Teachers should continuously use technology to search, synthesize knowledge, and develop innovations to sustainably elevate professional standards and student quality.
