ATTITUDE OF PEOPLE TO PUBLIC DISASTER PREVENTION AND MITIGATION OF NAWAE SUB-DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, CHAWANGDISTRICT, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE.

Abstract

The objective of this article is to study, compare, and collect recommendations of the people's attitudes towards disaster prevention and mitigation of the Na Wae Subdistrict Administration Organization, Chawang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. People's Attitudes towards Disaster Prevention and Mitigation of the Na Wae Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Chawang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province This research uses quantitative research methods. The sample consisted of 364 people. Systematic random sampling was used. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire to examine the instrument quality. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.85. The quantitative data was analyzed by descriptive statistics such as percentage, mean, standard deviation.

          The results of the study revealed that 1) Attitudes of the people towards the disaster prevention and mitigation work of the Na Wae Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Chawang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province are at a moderate level. As for the personnel who provide disaster prevention and mitigation services 2) The comparison of the attitude of the people towards the disaster prevention and mitigation work of the Na Wae Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Chawang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province of the people with gender, age, education level, occupation and monthly income. 3) Suggestions about the attitude of people towards disaster prevention and mitigation work of the Na Wae Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Chawang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. The overall level is that the staff are more enthusiastic in the operation and have more knowledge, skills and ability in disaster prevention and mitigation, followed by the establishment of a prevention center. Distribute disaster relief at the sub-district level and prepare disaster prevention and mitigation plans and review the plan regularly and promote and raise public awareness and participation in disaster prevention and mitigation networks.
