The sample size was determined based on the criterion of 20 times the observed variables. Data were collected with the use of a questionnaire and analyzed with a structural equation model. In the qualitative research component, in-depth interviews were conducted with experts who had working experiences and/or administrative experiences in the private hospitals as well as academic experiences. Moreover, the findings from the qualitative research revealed that for the organizations to be able to survive, they needed to have a certain procedure to create an innovation and use that innovation as a principle to drive the organizations to achieve success and gain competitive advantage. These research findings enable the hospital executives to realize the significance of transformational leadership, organizational innovation, and change management as well as how these factors can affect the organization performance in the context of the private hospitals. These findings can be used as a guideline for the private hospitals in Thailand to improve their performance so that they can gain competitive advantages which enable them to compete with other organizations at a global level. Such ability is in accordance with the strategy to develop Thailand as an international medical hub.
