DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM OF TEACHER TO ENHANCE LIFE SKILL OF STUDENT IN SECONDARY SCHOOL UNDER OFFICE OF THE BASIC EDUCATION COMMISSION

Abstract

The study aimed to development program of teacher to enhance life skill of students in secondary school under office of the basic education commission. The sample was consisted 331 guidance teachers in secondary school under office of the basic education commission and informants was 6 guidance teachers in secondary school under the secondary education service area office 26. The instruments used to collect data comprised of evaluation form (IOC 0.8 – 1.0), questionnaire (IOC 0.6 – 1.0), structured interview form (IOC 0.8 – 1.0), knowledge test (p 0.27 – 0.73) and satisfaction form (IOC 0.8 – 1.0). The statistics used to analyze data were content analysis, mean, standard deviation and dependent samples t-test. The results revealed development program of teacher to enhance life skill of students in secondary school under office of the basic education commission which are 1) principles and goals 2) objectives 3) content 4) development activities and 5) evaluation. The program which are 4 phases 1) Preparation 2) Training 3) Operational learning and exchange of knowledge and 4) evaluation. The results of the evaluation program is appropriateness ( = 4.52), possibility ( = 4.53), and usefulness (  = 4.52) was at highest level and the results of program implementation shown that 1) the results of knowledge test pre-posttest was significantly different at the statistical level of .05 2) the results of participation (more than 80%) was the highest level and 3) the satisfaction level was the highest level (  = 4.71).
