POLICY AND THE ROLL OF HEALTH ENHANCEMENT OF NON-GOVERNMENT PROFIT ORGANIZATION (NGOS) IN THAILAND

Abstract

This research topic has three objectives, which are: 1. To study the role of enhancing health by Non-Profit Organizations (NGO) in Thailand, 2. to study the conditions of implementing health promotion policy in the role of Non-Profit Organization (NGO) in Thailand. and 3. to study guidelines for solving health enhancement obstacles by Thai Non-Profit Organizations (NGO). This research is a qualitative research through the studying and researching of concepts, theories and related researches by in-depth interviews from key informants with specific selection methods and statistics used to analyze data. Through content analysis, the findings are summarized as follows: 1) the role of health enhancement by Thai Non-Profit Organization (NGO) consist of preparing for readiness of the public, enhancing organizations in the community and restoring technology and core knowledge development, and relieving consumers, 2) problems and obstacles in enhancing health by Thai Non-Profit Organizations (NGOs), are divided into 4 areas – Man, Material, Money, and Management, and 3) guidelines for solving health enhancement obstacles by Non-Profit Organizations (NGOs) should proceed as follows: supporting the operation of Non-Profit Organizations (NGOs), prioritizing activities, and studying comparisons in health policy forms.
