THE SATISFACTION OF ELDERLY FOR RECEIVING OF THE ELDERLY ALLOWANCE THROUGH AN ON-LINE E-PAYMENT AND RECEIVING BY CASH: A CASE STUDY OF THAPHRA SUB-DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, MUANG KHON KAEN, KHON KAEN, THAILAND

The objectives of this research are: 1) to compare the satisfaction of the methods of payment of the elderly allowance, 2) to analyze problems and obstacles of the methods of receiving of the elderly allowance, and 3) to provide recommendation on how to improve the methods of payments of the elderly allowance, A case study of Tha Phra sub-district municipality, Muang Khon Kaen, Khon Kaen, Thailand The quantitative approach has been applied to collect the data whilst the survey questionnaire is applied as a research instrument.in ThaPhra Sub-district municipality, Muang Khon Kaen, Khon Kaen. A total of 220 of the respondents participate in the data collection.Data analysis by a package Descriptive and inferential statistics were applied in data analysis. Findings indicate that: 1) The Elderly with elementary education and Single status are more satisfied with the on-line e-payment system than the cash-payment system. As for those under 65 years of age and in the area of Village No.1 are more satisfied with the cash-payment system than the on-line e-payment system, 2) Basic information of different seniors has a problem and obstacles of the on-line payment system are statistically significant. The elderly residing in the more urban area face with less problems and obstacles of the on-line payment system than the elderly residing in more rural area, 3) The government may need to consider to provide the elderly to acquire the greater levels of skills and accessibilities to the on-line technology to be able to gain access into the e-payment. At the same time, the government may need to consider providing more facilities of the e-payment machines to the elderly. Finally, the results also show that levels of education, marital status, and areas of residence are statistically significant with the on-line payment system
