HERITAGE OF WISDOM FROM WOVEN FABRICS OF HER MAJESTY QUEEN SRI SAVARINDIRA, THE QUEEN GRANDMOTHER OF THAILAND AND LOCAL RESOURCE TO SUSTAINABLE CREATIVE COMMUNITY BASED TOURISM IN EASTERN ECONOMIC CORRIDOR OF BANPUEK COMMUNITY MUEANG CHONBURI DISTRICTCHONBURI PROVINCE

Abstract

          The objectives of this article were to study the tourism of Banpuek community which was created through the wisdom heritage of the community. The local wisdom of the community, Cultural knowledge is hand-woven fabrics with unique patterns that have been passed on from generation to generation for a century since the reign of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn, becoming the history of community worths paying tribute to her graciousness. Banpuek Angsila woven fabrics has an identity pattern such as bullet wood flower pattern, Samuk pattern, Ratchawat pattern. At present, it has been developed and further developed into various products such as costume, bags, key chains etc. In addition, the community has diverse cultural resources such as the 200-year-old chapel of Maiketngam temple, natural resources which is Thao Yai Mom Which can be used to make Thao Yai Mom flour. It can be used to make various types of Thai traditional desserts such as turtle-shaped dumpling, stuffed dough pyramid, or as an ingredient in savory dishes: oyster omelette. Create income distribution for the people in the community, activities are organized into stories through creative tourism programs. The story of local wisdom of community can be composed into interesting travel programs. For example a handmade key chains activity, it was a special activity that brought the tourists had made and learnt to making a key chain from a hand woven fabric which it would be their own souvenir, inviting tourists to experience and participate in creative tourism activities, leading the participation of people in the community, with the community leaders promote the collection of knowledge in the community and support for the successful development of creative tourism communities for the successful development of creative tourism communities which will be able to be the model for the development of tourism communities in Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).
