THE REDUCTION OF INEQUALITY AND DEVELOPMENT A QUALITY OF LIFE FOR COMMUNITY IN NONGBUA LAMPHU PROVINCE BY THE KINGS PHILOSOPHY

Abstract

          The objectives of this research article were : 1) to study income inequality reduction and development of quality of life of community members, 2) to develop the model for reducing income inequality and developing quality of life of community members, 3) to compare opinions on training to reduce income inequality and develop of quality of life of community members before and after the training, and 4) to publish the manual for reducing income inequality and developing of quality of life of community members in Nongbualamphu province by espousing the King’s Philosophy. The sample group was 261 people of Ban Don Noi, Nong Bua Lamphu Province. The Research tool used in qualitative research was the questionnaire with content validity revised by scholars and reliability using the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. The whole reliability of questionnaire was 0.90. The structural interview guide for qualitative research was also a research tool. The statistics for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and T-test dependent. This research was a mixed model of quantitative and qualitative research. The results were as follows: 1) The respondents had opinions about reducing income inequality and developing the quality of life of community members in Nongbualamphu province by espousing the King’s Philosophy in overall at a high level ( = 3.69). 2) The models for reducing income inequality and developing the quality of life of community members were the King’s Philosophy and Ditthadhammikattha-samvattanikadhamma consisting of principles and rationale, objectives, development activities, indicators and assessment methods 3) The difference of sample group’s opinions before and after the training to reduce income inequality and develop the quality of life of community members in Nongbualamphu province by espousing the King’s Philosophy was statistically significant at the .05 level. 4) Manual evaluation result was overall at a high level. The mean score was higher than the criterion score at 3.51 which is considered as pass the criteria.
