PARTICIPATION OF CITIZENS IN PHRA NAKHON DISTRICT AREA TO THAI YOUTH 4.0 SKILL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

          The objectives of this research article were: 1) to study the level of participation of citizens in Phra Nakhon District area to Thai youth 4.0 skill development, and 2) to study the guidelines, problems, and recommendations on participation of citizens in Phra Nakhon District area to Thai youth 4.0 skill development. This was a survey research. The sample was divided into 2 groups; 1) group of quantitative research comprising 396 people living in Phra Nakhon District area, and 2) group of qualitative, a total of 49 participants consisted of group of chairman community and board/youth, group of school administrators, group of monks in community, group of officers at Phra Nakhon District Office and group of merchants in community. Based on the chain method, the research instrument used were questionnaires and unstructured interview of chairman community and board. The statistics used in data analysis include the mean and standard deviation. The results of the research showed that 1) the participation of citizens in Phra Nakhon District area to Thai youth 4.0 skill development was of medium level (  = 3.29, S.D. = 1.07), and 2) it was found from the guidelines on the participation of citizens in Phra Nakhon District area to Thai youth 4.0 skill development that the participation in decision making was in the committee manner; the participation in practice was carried out by giving an opportunity and open-mindedness for all parts to express their opinions to develop the potential and create immunity of the youth; the participation in benefits is related both quantitatively and qualitatively; and the participation in evaluation was in the manner of brotherhood. The participation problem, limited place, insufficient budget, discontinuous cooperation from government agencies affects the organization of the activity.
