A FRAMEWORK CONCEPTUALIZATION OF RESILIENCE FOR BATTERED WOMAN

Domestic violence is a phenomenon that seriously impact to victims. Battered women who are victims of domestic violence are facing physical, mental and emotional crises. Resilience is aprotective factor in reducing the mental health impact of domestic violence. Whereas, Thailandhas a few studies of Resilience among women who victim of domestic violence. The objective of this integrative review was to conceptualize battered women’s resilience framework by summarizes the definitions and components ofResilience. A review of the literature was conductedqualitative research that report definitions and component of resilience among a sample of women victims of domestic violence, using the TCI, PsycINFO, Scopus, Google Scholar electronic databases from 2011 through 2021. Search terms “IPV + Resilience”, “Domestic violence + Resilience” and “Battered women + Resilience”. Terms were searchedusing all possible combinations and sequences. Based on a review of the literature and input from stakeholders, the author developed a conceptual framework of Resilience for battered woman. The authors define the resilience of women victims of violence as the positive characteristic and abilities of individuals to face life's obstacles effectively. Able to adapt to circumstances or recover after facing life crises. Resilience involving three components: Personal attributes factor, Relationship factor and Social Justice factors. Attention to these factors may provide an important, strengths-based perspective for interventions to enhance women’s resilience when facing domestic violence
