The purpose of this article is to study The Operation Competency Development of Patrolling Police at Provincial Police Station Muang Uttaradit. The results of the study are as follows: 1. The administrative characteristics of Uttaradit Police Station have top-down command structure according to the bureaucratic style. (Bureaucracy) has the superintendent of the police station. There is a Deputy Superintendent who helps manage each line of work. There is an inspector level as a supervisor in each line of work. There is a secondary inspector and noncommissioned police officer working. With the management structure still not flexible enough for the development of the organization in the same direction and can be targeted to high performance organizations. 2. The important problems include (1) structural problems. The internal management of the organization is not consistent with the actual operations in the area. Problems with the planning or strategic implementation of the Royal Thai Police are not consistent with the local needs context. (2) Information technology problems are insufficient for operations and lacking personnel with information technology expertise. (3) Problems of shortage of budget, salary and various welfare of the police officers. 3. Solutions to problems include (1) examining problems and deficiencies in operation of patrol officers (2) bringing Policies and strategic plans of the Royal Thai Police to apply in accordance with the context of the area responsible
