Abstract

The purpose of this article was to study the by presenting the Travelling to Mueang SiSaKet of King Rama IX – King Rama X methods of travel from Bangkok to SiSaKet and the Kings’ travelling places. The scope of setting was only restricted to areas in the royal tours. The results of this study indicated that King Rama IX and King Rama X visited SiSaKet many times. The purposes of these royal tours included   to visit people, perform royal duties, and take some rest. The Kings visited important places in SiSaKet as well as important religious sites in Khmer culture and Buddhism. There were the changes in travel to SiSaKet after the construction of South Isan railway. Later, private helicopter was used as a mode of travel. Places in these royal tours still are tourist attractions in SiSaKet until present.
